Kako su pčele opstale bez pčelara hiljadama pa i milionima godina

Wild bees survived for millions of years in a world that was completely different from the one we have today.
In the past, they had:
enormous natural forests and meadows,
huge botanical diversity,
clean air, water and soil,
no systemic insecticides,
no industrial agriculture,
no massive monocultures,
no electromagnetic pollution,
no global transport of parasites and diseases,
and no continuous destruction of their habitats.
Today, however, bees are exposed simultaneously to dozens of aggressive factors created by modern civilization:
pesticides and insecticides (especially systemic ones such as neonicotinoids),
fungicides and herbicides,
nutritional deficiencies caused by monocultures,
habitat destruction,
climate instability,
pollution,
parasites like Varroa destructor,
viruses, fungi and bacteria spread globally,
and many other stressors acting together.
In many regions, without responsible beekeepers, entire colonies would collapse very rapidly.
Good beekeepers are not “owners” of bees, but increasingly their protectors, caretakers and defenders in an artificial and chemically overloaded world.
Of course, nature still has enormous regenerative power, but today humanity also has the moral responsibility to reduce the dangers we ourselves created.
